(I don’t have the guts to post this on Mark B’s blog, but I’ll take advantage of Ethan’s hospitality)
While the “double whammy” of words and deeds is an effective way to reach people who are not yet disciples, I don’t know if MB uses
1 Thessalonians 2:8 accurately. Isn’t the “sharing of our lives” to which Paul refers what happened after the Thessalonians “converted?” Isn’t this sharing more like life-together of
Acts 2 ?
Are there more Book of Acts examples of “sharing the gospel” w/ words (Paul in synagogues) OR words plus miracles (healings, casting out demon) THAN examples of “sharing the gospel by serving”?
